Building and Strengthening Residency and Sponsoring Institutional Programs, Improving Core Competencies
 

Initiated and Guided new ACGME Sponsoring Institutions and PM&R Residency programs and Fellowships, new and existing, integrating and navigating through the Milestones development and reporting, Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), Annual Institutional Reviews (AIR), Program Evaluation Committee Reports (PEC/APE),Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER), and guidance with Self-Studies.

 

Guided new and established residency programs, fellowships, sponsoring institutions, DIOs, and program directors, through the ACGME/RRC/IRC accreditation process and site visit preparation. 

Assisted with probationary status issues.  

Reviewed PM&R RC and IRC compliance issues, strategic planning, PGY-level clinical competencies, EPAs, learning objectives, milestones integration, curriculum, faculty, resident and skills development. (Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, Texas, Massachussets, Ohio, Kentucky, New York, Louisiana, California, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Virginia)

Guiding Clients through ACCME Self-Study Accreditation, Reaccreditation, Achieving Commendations, Standards for Integrity and Independence (SII)
Served as CME/CPD Education Consultant.

 

Achieved first-time ACCME accreditation and 6-year reaccreditation with commendation for clients, national and state CME accreditation, for national medical and surgical specialty societies, medical schools, hospitals, and health communications and education companies.
Conducted site visit and self-study preparation.

Upgrading Residency Education and Fellowship Programs, Developing Faculty, Boosting Recruitment

 

​Formulated and implemented strategic plans to improve and upgrade overall quality in residency education programs and fellowships, including faculty development, effective resident recruitment and interviewing skills.  (IL, MN, TX, OH, AR, MA, KY, NY, LA, CA, PA, MS, VA, MI).

Assessing Practice Gaps and Needs, Bolstering Strategic Planning Efforts, and Building Effective Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Programs
Improving Programs by Building Core Curriculum, Developing Self-Directed MOC Study Guides, Enhancing MOC/PI CME and Self-Assessment Activities
Directed organizational and educational strategic planning, core curriculum and study-guide development, MOC/PI CME/MOC self-assessment and longitudinal assessment activities. Assessed practice gaps and needs.
Organized and directed CME/CPD office set-up for clients in national medical and surgical associations, medical schools, hospitals, and for-profit healthcare organizations.
